A few more photos

Did I mention the three bathrooms...one upstairs, one with a bathtub between the small bedroom and the master bedroom and one with a shower in the master bedroom. And finally our bedroom.

Nice apartment! Larger garden than I imagined. And 3 pubs within a 2 minute walk from your front door.

Three bathrooms? Wow. That is like winning the lottery. Do you need furniture? We are moving back to the States in March. If our current landlord doesn't buy our stuff, we will have a bunch going for CHEAP. Nothing fancy-Ikea stuff. Let me know. usamctwo@gmail.com

Thanks for the furniture offer. I think we have the big items covered, so all we really need are kitchen items - pots & pans, cutlery, glasses. We're probably just going to make the rounds at IKEA on move-in day, since we'll probably be renting a van.

So if you don't mind my asking, why have you decided to move back to the States?

Hubby is going into a new business with two friends in the Kansas City area. We would have loved to have stayed here longer, but we cannot complain of our time here. We were only supposed to be here 18 months and have been here almost three years.

At least living over here has allowed us to experience so much. And coming back to visit will be easy. I guess you really do not realize how many Americans never leave the States or even have a passport until you talk to Europeans. But then again, the US is a large country.

Most of the Brits I have talked to really only know the US by way of Florida, New York City, and sometimes California. As much as I love seeing things outside the US, the US does have a lot to offer other than the places mentioned above. Might not be to everyones taste, but there are great and not so great things about places everywhere.

I'll keep checking your blog and live thru your eyes here. I'll chuckle at things that you'll observe and probably nod my head at the same time.

Good luck on your move. Looks like you got a great flat. I am going to miss a lot of foodstuffs here (the cheese, sausages, lamb, etc) but look forward to getting some proper BBQ!
