Sorry for the delay

We decided to get out of London and head to someplace warmer between Christmas and New Years with my folks. Little did we know, a cold front was descending upon Rome, so when we got there it was about 5 degrees (Celsius) cooler than we thought it would be and raining. So, in essence, we left crappy weather for more crappy weather...but at least it did let up a couple of days and we did have a wonderful time - even with the hoards of Catholics and the daily hunt for something good to eat. Over the week we were there, we walked most if the city... or at least it felt like it. We even went out of town to the ancient and unearthed city of Ostia. And now for some pictures... This is us walking to the Galleria Borghese through the park. Doesn't it look remarkably like London? Leo feels rights at home in the Capitoline Museum. A view from the top of the Castel Sant'Angelo. Leo and I walked around the Roman Forum and marvelled at how few people we had encountered in there last time we were in Rome in the summer of 2001 compared with the crowds we were finding now.
